Life can be a complex journey filled with both challenges and triumphs. At times, we encounter difficulties that feel overwhelming, whether they stem from emotional distress, relationship issues, or significant life changes. This is where counselling can play an essential role.
Counselling is not just for those in crisis; it can benefit anyone seeking clarity, support, or a deeper understanding of their experiences. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, navigating grief, or simply looking to improve your mental health, I am here to support you through the process.
Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength. It shows a commitment to your well-being and a desire for positive change. Let’s embark on this journey together, empowering you to lead a more fulfilling and balanced life.
As a Registered Social Worker, I bring with me experience working in hospital settings as well as in the community in Geriatric Outreach. I work with clients facing a variety of issues, including anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, caregiver burnout, grief and loss. Being a South Asian woman myself, I understand the importance of family, community, and respect for elders in the South Asian culture. This can influence how individuals seek and accept support.
My approach is collaborative and holistic, focusing on the unique experiences of each individual. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgement.
Although I do use modalities such as narrative, cognitive behavioural, solution-focused, mindfulness and trauma-informed therapy. I believe it's about seeing what the best fit for the client is.
I look forward to meeting you,
