We all have our own beautiful, messy but ultimately unique stories. Who we are, and how we present ourselves to the world and the people around us, are defined by our narratives.
Sometimes the challenge is that we may not be able to make room for the other narratives around us, ones that could help serve us in ways we may not have thought of.
"Don’t be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth."
I am passionate about hearing your story and providing a safe, brave and judgement-free space, to build on your core values and strengths to discover opportunities for growth and healing. Recognizing that even with the challenges presented to us, be that loss, anxiety, world-altering changes, or interpersonal conflict, we all have strengths to build off of that can help define newer and healthier chapters in our unique stories.
As a Social Worker and Psychotherapist, I can acknowledge that not one size fits all regarding therapeutic support. My work is founded upon narrative, emotion-focused, solution-focused, mindfulness and trauma-informed therapy. My practice is significantly informed by my personal experiences as a South Asian and queer woman. I can understand and honour the impact that our stories can be defined by who we are and how we identify. In our work, it is imperative for me to hold space for the intersecting identities we have and how we navigate the world with them.
It would be an honour to bear witness to your story.
