Job Description

Masters Degree in related field (Required)

Fully Licensed Registered Social Worker (RSW) or Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and in good standing with respective colleges (Required)

Experience: 5 years in the field of counselling (Required)

Additional training in specific modalities such as: Gottman Couples Method, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (C.B.T.), Solution- Focused Therapy (S.F.T.), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (D.B.T.), Emotion Focused Therapy (E.F.T.) Embraces our company's values (Required)

Positions Available:

T. MUDIE PSYCHOTHERAPY PROFESSIONAL CORPORATION IS SEEKING A PSYCHOTHERAPIST

LOCATION: ONTARIO - Remote

Full Time: 30 to 40 /HRS/ WEEK

wage: $105 commission per piece

Position Requirements:

Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Psychotherapist required.

Master's Degree in counselling psychology.

Must be registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and in good standing with the respective college.

Specific Training in the level 2  Gottman Method is required.

Experience with sex therapy, substance abuse counselling, and trauma-informed therapy required.

DUTIES of Psychotherapist:

  • Interview clients, prepare case histories, and assess problems
  • Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining goals and means of attaining them
  • Counsel clients, provide therapy and mediation services, and facilitate group sessions
  • Liaise with community agencies or partners, and identify additional or alternative services, and provide referrals
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling programs and interventions, and clients' progress in resolving identified problems and movement toward defined objectives
  • Follow up on the results of counselling programs and clients' adjustments
  • Prepare assessment, progress, follow-up, and court reports
  • Provide counselling in sex therapy, substance abuse counselling, and trauma-informed therapy
  • May supervise other counsellors, social service staff, and assistants
  • May provide public education and consultation to other professionals or groups regarding counselling services, issues, and methods
  • May provide witness testimony in court proceedings
  • May conduct research, publish research papers, educational texts, and articles, and deliver presentations at conferences
  • May collaborate with employee assistance programs or with government organizations in health and safety or with victims of crime

 

EXPERIENCE:  MUST HAVE 7 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A PSYCHOTHERAPIST

EDUCATION: MASTER’S DEGREE IN COUNSELLING PSYCHOLOGY.

LANGUAGE:  ENGLISH

Must be bondable
